Radio.Cloud Returns to WABE for 2nd Straight Year

After a busy and productive 2023, Radio.Cloud wraps up its in-person convention schedule later this month in Vancouver.

The Western Association of Broadcast Engineers (WABE) conference returns to Vancouver for the first time since 2018 and takes place November 27-29.

Account Director Andrew Scaglione and Solutions Architect Shawn Gilbert are tackling the event from two perspectives. The pair will setup in the WABE exhibit hall on Tuesday November 28th between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and continue to give demos on Wednesday November 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

After that, Gilbert and Scaglione present a paper called “The Power of Radio in the Cloud” at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The presentation features an update on new features and developments, a discussion on how the software takes full advantage of Amazon Web Services’ cloud-native architecture, and some case studies from international clients over the last year.

“We are excited to show WABE/Vancouver/Western Canada what Radio.Cloud has done in 2023 and what we plan for 2024,” Gilbert said.  “From our advancements in the cloud through our partnership with AWS, to what’s new and next with A.I., it’s a thrilling time to be able to chat with our colleagues to further the broadcasting and radio industries.”

Radio.Cloud is also a bronze sponsor of WABE. The event takes place in the Shipyards district of Vancouver with the exhibit hall at The Pipe Shop venue, and papers inside the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier.

With four years of on-air experience, and more than 250 affiliates between North America and Europe, Radio.Cloud is changing the broadcast industry with the first completely cloud-native automation, content management and production platform.
